EastCoast CAD/CAM Fall 2010 Newsletter
I want to wish you and your family a joyous and healthy Fall.
Over the late summer weeks, EastCoast's Software team have been working on a variety of new development efforts, specific to AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP platforms.
On the AutoCAD MEP front we just released new piping content (3.0.1). In addition we also released a piping-specific software patch which makes it easier to create all types of custom pipe and pipe joints. Prior to updating your SQL Server database, it is important to note if your organization is running both pipe and duct. The update process requires specific, yet simple user action be applied to your duct catalogs, specs and mfg. defaults to complete the process. The release notes contain instructions and details.
On the Revit MEP front, we are in the final weeks of testing MEP Fabrication, Beta 1. MEP Fabrication is EastCoast's Revit MEP Design to Fabrication Software. (See below for more information).
Our plans are to release our Revit MEP Fabrication solution at 2010 Autodesk University, Nov. 30 - Dec.2).
In addition to Autodesk University a number of EastCoast representatives will be at the MCAA BIM Workshop in Chicago (October 10-12) and at SMACNA in Scottsdale, Arizona (October 10-13). Please drop me a note if you are planning to be at any one of the events and would like to meet with us.

MEP Fabrication - Duct fabrication directly from Revit MEP
We are in the closing weeks of Beta 1 and will be releasing our final Beta (Beta 2) shortly. We have worked with a handful of beta testers throughout the summer and the fall. Our hope is to double the number of testers for the final Beta 2.
