Welcoming 20100

David Quigley

Welcoming 2011!

Dave's Editorial Page

There's much to share with you in this first month of this New Year, 2011.  To begin with, I want to wish you, your families and employees a very Healthy, Successful and Happy New Year.

As EastCoast CAD/CAM starts its New Year, I want you all to know how thrilled we are to be servicing and supporting such a great group of customers.

Over the past 30 years of working in software, I'm often asked, what is the most important thing a software company can do for its business.  The answer has been the same over all of the years - "Take great care of  your customer."  As you would expect, that's what we are planning to do at EastCoast for 2011.  You'll find it in our service, in our training, and in our products.

I am very sincere about this statement:  If you find us failing at delivering service, training or our product release, I want to be the first to know. With this in mind, Christal Vandecar, EastCoast's Industry Business Manager has created a Support and Product Survey.  It won't take more than a few minutes to fill out.  It provides you with an opportunity to share something you believe is important that we should know (and fix) about EastCoast.  If you do have a moment, we will very much appreciate whatever you have to share.

You'll discover in this Newsletter a wealth of training and domain specific online services.  One new Open Forum Training Series we just added is called, "Lou's Shop".  If you've ever worked with our CAM specialist, Lou Rubino and his Sicilian accent, you'll understand why we called it Lou's Shop.  Check it out below.

As always, I am available at any time and very interested in hearing from you.

Best regards,
Dave

Our Latest Product - MEP Fabrication for Revit MEP

EastCoast's newest sheet metal software tool, MEP Fabrication, provides significant production efficiencies, and assists contractors and designers who struggle with specifications requiring "Building Information Modeling" throughout the entire building process.

As a direct result of the Revit MEP to AutoCAD MEP software architecture internal to MEP Fabrication, there is now a seamless worklfow between Engineering users who use off the shelf AutoCAD MEP and the detailers who take the drawing all of the way to Fabrication and Installation. It is a tool with the functionality to capture all of the relevant design details and pass it to the HVAC Fabrication Detailer who, without any redrawing, can review each of the systems for final modifications and coordination, saving countless time and redundancy.

For the first time, and for large scale commercial construction organization, MEP Fabrication provides enterprises and their shops a process and workflow that directly ties engineering to fabrication seamlessly on one platform, and with one set of tools.
