Custom pipes and fittings can also be easily defined, with flexible editing of custom attributes from many areas of Part Manager, the content library user interface. Edit a single fitting using standard AutoCAD MEP dialogs, or create and edit large selections of custom pipes and fittings in Part Manager, using control or shift keys to create selection sets and make modifications. At any time a pipe catalog report can be generated to examine fittings within a selected catalog.

Accurate Pipe Routing and Scheduling
Fabrication for AutoCAD MEP Piping fully automates the process of routing and detailing pipe, saving time and resources. Hanger and rods can be included automatically as you build pipe runs, based on your specifications for joint offset, elevation, liner adjustment, and other settings. Generate hanger and rod schedules in the drawing that report full manufacturing details, including quantity, rod cut lengths, the total number bolts and washers needed, and many others.
Automatic Spool Drawing Generation and Updating
Spool drawings are generated in seconds - complete with a cut list, fitting list, and number of welds. Pipe numbering tags and pipe length dimensions can also be included in the spool drawing. These spool features can be easily updated after changes to the drawing are made, to ensure optimal visibility in any orientation. Use the Verification command to check for spool errors, and the Spool Legend to identify multiple spools by color in the pipe run. EastCoast’s spool drawings save upwards of 75% in labor costs.
